Both play therapy and counselling aim to promote emotional well-being, personal growth, and positive change

Life’s journey often presents twists and turns, especially for infants, (age group 2 – 7) and children (age group 8-11). In the world of children, play is more than just a pastime; it’s a language, a form of expression, and a powerful tool for healing and is commonly used for therapeutic intervention.

I believe in the incredible potential of play therapy as it utilises the natural medium of play and creative activities as a means of communication and expression, allowing your child to explore and make sense of their world, emotions, (fears and joys), thoughts, and experiences in a non-threatening and supportive environment.

In my practice, I embrace a holistic approach, recognising each child is unique and requires personalised attention. Our collaborative efforts extend beyond individual play therapy sessions. Together, we create a comprehensive and effective support system, gaining insights into the interconnected aspects of their lives.

Here are some key areas of support I specialise in:

  • Anxiety
  • Behavioural child concerns
  • Emotional regulation
  • School engagement difficulties

As a trained and qualified play therapy counsellor, I will use my expertise to create a supportive and healing environment for children facing various emotional and behavioural challenges. Empowering both your child and their support system with coping mechanisms and strategies will foster lasting positive change.

If your child is navigating emotional challenges, let’s connect and explore how play can be the key to their healing. Together, we’ll create a space where their story unfolds, and resilience grows.

Connecting with me on behalf of your child is not only a brave step but one that holds the potential for transformative change.

What to expect in a therapy session?
The sessions provide a child-friendly setting filled with thoughtfully chosen toys, games, and art materials. This unique environment provides a comfortable space where children can freely express themselves. This allows each child to communicate and process their unique experiences in a way that feels natural and empowering.

Intake – your child’s first appointment:
Our initial session involves a family support consultation, featuring a comprehensive discussion about your child. We explore various aspects of their life experiences, development, and attachment. This is truly a collaborative process, drawing on your insights as a crucial part of shaping our approach.
