Everyone has insecurities, perceived weaknesses, shame files and often regrets, but people with low self-esteem focus on these aspects over and above their strengths, achievements and positive qualities about themselves. The signs and symptoms of low self-esteem include: feeling very self-critical, inferior to other people, and often socially anxious and tend to avoid social interactions. They might also feel sad, guilty, ashamed, frustrated, powerless and possibly angry.
Severely low esteem may also lead to physical symptoms, such as headaches and exhaustion.
