Kerry is a Registered Psychologist with experience in using evidence-based therapeutic approaches including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), to manage a wide range of common emotional and psychological issues that may cause distress, depression, and anxiety. Kerry’s interest and focus lie in Positive Psychology, an approach based on enriching life and promoting meaningful wellbeing and resilience, rather than solely focusing on treating illness.
With an effective combination of evidence-based techniques and a focus on wellbeing, fulfilment and optimal functioning, Kerry strives to help each individual set new goals, manage stress, depression, and anxiety, rise to life’s challenges and adjust to life role changes. Kerry is experienced in helping individuals adjust to and manage the emotional and psychological impacts of chronic health conditions such as spinal deterioration, repetitive strain injuries, and heart disease.
Prior to registration, Kerry worked for 6 years in the vocational rehabilitation setting, helping people improve their mental and physical health in order to return to employment following injury or illness. In addition, Kerry’s career history spans both the private and public sectors in Australia and the UK and Ireland with experience in commercial recruitment, talent management, disability employment, vocational rehabilitation, hospital settings, residential rehabilitation, and telephone crisis support.
